Metropolitan Opera High Standards of Bulling Servise. October 4, 2016

On Friday, September 30, 2016 my man and I went to Metropolitan Opera to listen to the opera Tristan and Isolde by Wagner. It was eve performance at 6:30 pm, very early. Needless to say we were not able to get there on time. My man dropped me on low entrance and left to find parking. I hurried up to Family Circle were our seats. The doors were closed till I was able to get there.
I am very ill person. I do have many medical conditions, heart failure, pulmonary embolisms when water stay between cells in lungs, and many other diabetes type 2 complications. I needed to take a seat right away. There is no seat for person like myself. They insisted I have to go back down and there staff will help me. Too good to be true.
When I got down man approached me and said: "Follow me" -  and headed to downstairs. I cannot walk down, and all the time I have to remember, after getting down I have somehow to get up. Also I was too long walking from one floor to another,  even in elevator I have to stand, and I cannot be on my feet so long. I needed seat to take a rest. There is no one seat for me. The same as it was on top of house security hunted me out, that I cannot seat here, or stand. I have to walk, and I cannot. I am too ill.
My man was not around me. I do not carry my bag, so all my medicine in his bag, and I needed Nitrostat right away.
I went outside, there are three benches were finally I could take a seat. When breathing was resumed I asked gate security to notify my man that I am outside waiting for him.
------No, I cannot do it, - was the answer.
------Who can help me?
------No one. There is light off right now. But you can go and meet him there. -he smiled to me. Very polite, very bulling. He knew, I cannot walk downstairs.
Finally it was intermission, lights were on.
------Would you please to notify my husband I am outside and weight for him. - I asked another person, woman security staff.
------ Give your ticket to the gate security, and we will help you. - as every one in Metropolitan Opera house she was very polite.
-------You are already very upseat. Give me your ticket!!!!!!!!!
The question is why it is important I give them my ticket? I am not going inside the house. All what I asked just to notify my man where I am. I could not go home without him. I even do not have key.
As before I could not stand for long, so I left outside, to take my seat till no one took it.
It was almost the end of intermission when my man finally found where I am. So, now we were able to go home.
The next day we had tickets to another opera, and I was not able to go. Headache, heart, depression. I am very ill person.
We do have tickets for 20 operas.  I do love opera, music, voices. Not anymore. It is not that I do not like music, but I cannot go to Metropolitan Opera anymore. I do not get healthy. With time I will be worse. Now I can get to my seat, but probably it is last season. In all Metropolitan Opera house there is no one seat to take when doors are closed. There are no seats to seat til gate would be opened. There are three benches outside in low entrance, so 9 person can take a seat. There are  two benches in the main entrance, beautiful and very cold to seat.  With my complicated kidney I even cannot use them.
The line to women restroom is so long that it takes all intermission to stand in it, and it is too much for me right now. There is no restroom for people with disabilities like myself. No one ever will help. I take a lot of medicine, I need to attend Lady Room more often then any healthy person.
There are a lot of publications how to prevent diabetes type 2 or how to reverse it. There is not too much publications how to live with it.
If someone posted how cruel Metropolitan Opera staff, I will never believe in it. They are professional, nice looking. They know what they are doing, and they perform duty perfectly. They did not have merry laugh when they told me what I can do. They did it later when I was outside.
There are woman who died in custody of police officer who drugged her to police station when she had clot in her lungs and went to ER.  I was lucky. I did not fight. I took my seat and I did know my man will come finally when he will see I am not on my seat. If one does not trust it is possible to get that treatment in Metropolitan Opera House, then next time you are there take closer look where person with heart and breathing problems can take a seat. Take a look at how long line to Ladies Room. Also take a look how many of us, old, ill, disable people around. We keep our seat for many seasons, and it is obvious we all getting older and no one getting healthier.
