Good News? Give me break! This news with very long tail, grey and long. But still, many take this hook and lay down on the surgical table. No one surgeon will say to them how dangerous this surgery is. Not mention complications of surgery and after surgery many adjustments. But long tern complications such as malnutrition, alcoholism, and finally getting weight back with great plus because of appetite increases three folds up after surgery.
But still, let us see what is really good  for diabetics type 2 with so many promises?

The procedure being tested is designed for adults who have Type 2 diabetes and who are overweight or obese but not morbidly obese. Millions of Americans have Type 2 diabetes and most are overweight.

What does it mean? Diabetic type 2 is not in high and dangerously critical condition when sugar level in blood closer to fatal. Then higher blood sugar level then more pounds diabetic type 2 collect. In coma condition diabetics type 2 stop to take any food, so blood sugar drops, and diabetic can be back to life. It can happen sometimes, but with every other episode the chance to return goes weaker and weaker. This is why the life of diabetics type 2 dramatically shortened.
It is all the time told, it is level of sugar why diabetics die timelessly. Why? Because of no one ever do know the level of insulin in diabetic's type 2 blood. So, it is blood sugar, which is fatally high to blame. But reality is different. Insulin injections drop level of sugar, and this is how Diabetics type 2 treated in any hospital, with insulin injections, and only this medicine work effectively. If weight loss surgery could solve the problem then every one diabetic in ICU have to have this sirgery. In stead, diabetics type 2 have insulin therapy in ICU. If so then why before any weight loss attempts do not strt insulin therapy? In this case diabetic type 2 would not gain weight, and weight lost sirgery in no any need.
     Because of limit in energy secretion due to limit in insulin available to convert sugar in blood to the energy, the blood circulation is poor. Blood clotting. The nerve do not have good supply in blood and air, so those parts of our body system start to slow ding. This leads to gangrene and lost of vision. Reduction in food supply cannot solve the problem. To work this problem out the quality of blood must be improved. For this reason diet is most important and any restriction in quality or quantity of nutrition can be fatal.
      With weight loss surgery the ability to take water, the most important cleanser of body system, is limited dramatically. Dehydration is common side effect after weight loss surgery, and diabetics take a lot of water. So, how this problem addressed? No mention from any doctor.
When we speak about weight loss and its effect to level of sugar in blood, let us remember that when sugar in blood very high, higher then 500 mg/dl then thirst is critical. Dehydration in so high level that even to say the word is not possible. Mouth dry, words do not go out. Diabetic type 2 takes water, in such high quantity like litter at once. No one person who is healthy not able to take so high quantity of water. At the same time weight go down.  The question is, why sugar still go up? That's right, with dramatic weight loss when sugar is very high, why level of sugar in blood rising dramatically? So, say me, how to put two this facts together and trust that weight loss lead to blood sugar level reduction? Not at all. It does not work in this way.

Then early insulin therapy started then better results and prolonged period of Honeymoon Phase when insulin in injections no need for some period of time.

The ileum is the final section of the small intestine and transposition means to change place. Human studies have shown that when you place the ileum closer to the stomach, food from the stomach enters the ileum quickly and hormones that help regulate diabetes are easily stimulated.

Very good and promising. For how long this work? As I do remember so far, there is no long tirm studies how sirgery work in long term. Why it is so? There was three years studies, and there were cut short, why? Because of result was so devastated that to publish these result meant to cut surgical business. Who will do it? Nobody.
