Day-by-Day. December 11, 2016

Blood sugar is high today, 206 mg/dl, fasting.
Last night there was Piano Concert in NY Phill. Kun Woo Paik played Beethoven Piano Concerto #3 in C minor, Op.37. The concert was great! So great that even now music still sound in my mind.
These concerts are made possible by Hyunjoo and Jaemin Chang, Misook and Harry Doolittle, the Korean Cultural Center New York, The Korea Times, and Samsung.
I never listen piano playing so sophisticated. He has very different contact with piano, special tough of key board. Sound melted in every note played by orchestra musicians. There is no Forte or Piano, it as all melted together, and all come into air in perfect sound, one great composition. He is most gifted piano player I ever listened.
In addition to the Beethoven Piano Concerto there were Janacek (1854-1928) From the House of the Death overture, and Dvorak (1841-1904) Symphony #6 in D minor, Op.60 played by NY Phill orchestra. All concert was great gift. So glad, we did not miss it.
So, we returned back to Brooklyn around 12 am. It was traffic all the way back to home. It is December in NYC, many tourists come to celebrate Christmas in NYC. Also there is President-Elect D. Trump in his residence working on transition to the White House. So, many politicians and people in power come to NYC. So, traffic is just reality to pay for benefits to live in such great city as New York.
Anyway, we come too late, and ... I forgot to take a shot of insulin. I took two shots, 80 units of each, and I had to take another one after we come back from Lincoln Center. But I did not remember I have to do so. I simple fall asleep too fast. Now I pay the price. Fasting sugar is over 200 mg/dl.
It is all the time said that if diabetic type 1 skip one insulin shot, and they take as high dose as 10 units or even 7 units, they even can die. I am not diabetic type 1. I am diabetic type 2. I take 300 units of insulin daily dose, sometimes a little bit up, sometimes a little bit down. Last night I missed 80 units. I did not die. I still alive. Sugar getting up way too fast. Today I already injected 160 units, and more underway. This is reality of ADA development treatment for diabetics and education for the public. All the time when I type ADA I see Doctor Who and episode with Dilects. Remember? Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!
This is how ADA sound in my mind. Just EXTERMINATE! Sorry, it is too hard for me. To Exterminate mean to have a lot of pain, not bearable pain when body slow rotten, one organ after another slow ding, straggling, trying to survive. Insulin will do the job. It will easy pain, heal wounds, smooth skin, improve vision, reduce headache. No insulin for diabetics type 2.
 Just Exterminate!
