Toujeo Second Chance. January 17, 2017

Blood sugar is 173 mg/dl, fasting.
I injected 320 units of insulin Yesterday, 80 units Toujeo Solo Star, and the rest was Lantus Solo Star. Because of I do not feel so good, like getting worse in stead to get better, I tried to get Toujeo second chance. Toujeo has some minerals and other elements added to insulin. Right now it is Winter, and as usual our system get lower in Vit D and other elements. It is usual as I do see that in Winter level of sugar getting higher. The same as our health, getting worse. I do have one crisis after another, feel ill, gained weight, all what I lost in Summer returned now. In other words, I let Toujeo second chance. I took one shot of Toujeo Solo Star, and three shots of Lantus Solo Star, 80 units each. I started this regime day before Yesterday.
Yesterday two times I got heart crisis. It is not heart attack, but very acute pain, very severe, one episode and a few hours later another episode. Pain in back, heart pain. I was not able to take any move, have to breath very very slow. For my luck my man was home. He put Nitrostat into my mouth. Pain gone. I do not take Nitrostat lastly, no need in it. I take Isosorbite, the same as Nitrstat but slow release, and I take it daily, to prevent heart crisis. It worked so far. But not Yesterday. I needed Nitrostat, and I needed outside assistance to take it. Lucky I am, my man was home.
Also as I said, my weight started to go up. It is not what bathroom scale show yet. It is swelling on the face. My eyes almost not opened. I simple cannot hold them open. Legs got bigger, and even redness increased. I am dizzy. It is not that I do have headache, but dizziness.
When first time I took Toujeo Solo Star I took it for a few month before I realized, it is not insulin I need. So, I called it off, and Lantus Solo Star was returned to my treatment. Now I do see like the same problem as first time, even I took only two shots of Toujeo.
Probably, I am wrong. Probably, Toujeo has nothing deal with my heart pain episode. Really I do not care. I do take Lantus Solo Star in high dose one year after another, and I am good with it. The problem I do have right now does not caused by Lantus Solo Star, but it is how healing go. It does not go strait and steady. It go up and down. The same as it is with daily   insulin injections, it never result the same level of sugar in blood, even fasting, even the same dose. The same it is in season, Fall and Winter sugar is higher, dose of insulin is higher. Spring and Summer we all getting better, so sugar goes down, so dose of insulin dropped.
I put aside Toujeo Solo Star. Even Toujeo has nothing deal with my problems, and it work the same as Lantus Solo Star, still, I am not lab rat and I am not going to investigate anything. I simple take Lantus Solo Star, and try to get better as much as I can. Lantus Solo Star is my trusted insulin.
Today I got mail, Lantus Solo Star already shipped, and at the end of the day it will be in my ref. I even do not pay co-pay for it. Usually I pay co-pay for every delivery of Lanttus Solo Star, needles, strips, and all brand medicine I take, Lipitor, Symbicort, Nexium, Nitrostat, do not remember all. I do not pay for generic. I worried. It is a new year, and usually I do have problem with first year delivery of insulin. As nurse in clinic said, I am only one who take so high dose of insulin in this practice. I do not think there are many others in America on so high dose of insulin. It is very difficult to find so brave doctor who willing to Rx it in such high dose. I was lucky. My previous primary Rx 260 units. Now I am in another clinic, and since I come to the doctor who is my endo now I never was left without insulin. She is really very very brave.
Today my Happy Day. I am every time happy when Insulin delivered. With insulin in my ref I can live, have hope, and less pain. I even hope one day I will be much much better. Not today, but one day. If I just had insulin early! But anyway it is better to have it late then never.
