Types of Diabetes according to Thomas Willis, 1674. January 15, 2017

"It was not, however, till 1674 that a rational theory of Diabetes Mellitus was first advanced; and that the urine voided possessed a sweet test; the honor of which discovery belongs to one of the England's pioneers in the field of medical science - by name Thomas Wills, and a prominent member of the Itro-Chemical School of Medicine during the reformed era. From this time henceforth, the disease was divided into two distinct types:
1. Diabetes Insipidum, or that which had no sugar.
2. Diabetes Mellitus. or that which had sugar.
From that time also, down to the present time (1877) the term Diabetes has been applied to various conditions of disease; namely, to that ......... "
The discovery that sugar is not only in urine but in blood too, as in other liquids of body, was made later. On the time of 1674 there is only test of sweet urine was taken into diagnostic, the quantity of passed urine, and the frequency of passing.   Even quality of urine was not tested yet. These tests come later.
Looking at the Thomas Willis  diabetes  define it is easy to see that type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes have right opposite definition as it is in the present time, 2017 and long before that. Thomas Wellis definition of diabetes based on early observations symptoms of disease and its  marks. It is easy to see that type 1 is mild, not yet established form of diabetes when urine is not so sweet yet and does not passed in such quantities as when disease is already highly established and patient enter into last stage of it. So, for today urine analyze of diabetes type 1 would be sugar-free, first stage of disease, and type 2 is 'sugary' Diabetes Mellitus, second and final stage of diabetes.
Very interesting observation. It is very easy to say that it was back in 1674 and today diagnostic is no longer based on the level of sugar in urine but in blood. Yes, I do know it well to well. In contrary, regardless of passed time the meaning still the same, diabetics divided by types rather then stages of disease established. In 1674 types were based on the level of sugar in urine, sugar - no sugar.  In 2017 diagnose of diabetes based on level of sugar in blood, so it is all time sugar. If the level of sugar is normal, compare with healthy person, then one is not diabetic. If level of sugar in blood above the normal ranger, one is diabetic. Then it is twist, Diabetes type 1 when insulin secretion is absent. Type 2 when body system does not use insulin properly.
It is interesting diagnostic, still to diagnose any medical condition the mark mast be presented that if mark matched with healthy person, so person does not have this medical condition, or mark is abnormally high or low, so person is ill, sick. What are those marks to diagnose type of diabetes in 2017 which ADA suggest to be used to diagnose diabetes and types of it? It is mark that level of sugar must be higher after meal, or fasting  or long term. But there is no one mark to diagnose type of diabetes.
Thomas Willis presented that marks, sugar in urine or no sugar in urine. ADA presented no one mark to diagnose type of diabetes, still it is very wide used that type 2 diabetes is most common type of diabetes. The medical condition with the marks of sugar named as Diabetes Mellitus, which means 'sugary' type of diabetes. In Thomas Willis Diabetes Mellitus definition 1674 it is easy to see that types of diabetes not types but stages of the establishment of disease. In first stage level of sugar in blood is lover then in last stage, and sugar still not present in urine yet. But diabetes is already on the way and it is only short time when it will claim its victim.
In Modern definition of diabetes there is discrepancy. Type of diabetes based on the mark on the  beach sand. All the laws of logic broken. If type 1 diabetes is more advanced type of diabetes then type 2 then the Death will take its toll early. It is not the case. The life span of diabetics type 1 is longer, and there is better quality of life. The complications of diabetes type 1 mild with right insulin therapy. In contrary, diabetics type 2, who presented as insulin - independent diabetics, and according to ADA have normal insulin secretion ability, need higher dose of insulin then those with type 1 diabetes, 200 units if type 2 and only 50 units if type 1 diabetes.
What is the logic of all those claims? Only one logic which still highly visible. It is PROFIT. Simple. Profit! Sweet Bloody Profit! Honey for Medical Organization, Grave for its victims.
