It is not studies, or discoveries which done by some scientist or some one Medical Organization member such as ADA. This is my new discoveries. This is why I said it right now. Do not look ahead, there is nothing to support my ideas.
Right now I read books which were published back to 1952, 1947, and so on, the time when insulin was just discovered, new type of treatment for diabetes regardless of types, body shape, age, of family size, and a new page in diabetes treatment was opened. My interest all the time, what is diabetes type 2? Insulin Resistance come from where? How treatment for diabetes was changed from insulin back to Starvation diet?
No one can live without insulin, ether healthy person, nether diabetic any type of it. So, when it is said 'resistance to insulin' for me it is absurd, just 100% absurd. If I do have resistance to insulin then there is no insulin in my blood, so how do I live without insulin?
When it is said that type 1 diabetics do not secret insulin, so ill they are, it is also absurd. If diabetic type 1 need 10 units of insulin in injection, then say me the rest of need in insulin come from where? It is another point, that type 1 diabetics produce insulin, if so then .... what is difference between types of diabetics? The problem with this question is, there is no one test for insulin available in secretion, nether type of diabetes. So this myth that type 1 diabetics do not produce insulin at all, come from where?
Well, I can ask these questions over and over, there still no answer to any one of them. So, I dig deeper into past, to the time when insulin was just discovered and treatment with insulin just started. In book of that time there are a lot of very good and valid info. Still I am not able to find, how treatment with insulin depend on my glucose level? There are a lot of tables, and data. Still, there is no one mention, how different insulin therapy for those who has blood sugar level 500 mg/dl and 150 mg/dl. fasting.
So, There would be a few posts, probably even not one after another. I just read that old published books, and do discovery how new era of diabetes treatment was shaped.
In present time diagnose and diabetes control based on lowest level of sugar, fasting, or two hour after meal when blood sugar suppose to drop back to normal. The dose of insulin taken according to the time of meal and the quality of meal, carbs, fat, proteins. This is ideal way to take control of the glucose numbers.
As I read in E.P. Joslin M.D. books, they counted dose of insulin in hours oy day range, 24 hours, or xxx days. In other words, if the pattern of insulin dose is not even then it is all the means to take glucose numbers under control, just increase dose of insulin as much as it takes, and as soon as it is possible to keep diabetic out of ADK and coma. This is the diagnose, 'resistance to insulin' come from. For one reason or another soddenly, diabetic takes huge dose of insulin to get glucose control. Dose of insulin increased four consecutive days 4000 units during every 24 hours. For me today not possible to believe in this info. Still, it is diabetes intensive insulin therapy back to 1952 in Joslin Diabetes Center.
Of cause it was biggest mistake to diagnose this condition as 'resistance to insulin'. There is no resistance, but huge demand in insulin. In the case above diabetic had Cancer. Every one of us can remember that during Winter when Flu season is in country, our numbers go up, regrdless we got flu or not. If we got flu, our numbers ride up, and we have to increase insulin dose if we lucky to be treated with insulin. In case of diabetes type 2 there is no any modifications in therapy, so our numbers ride up and doctor present that we do not control diabetes we do have, eat tooooo much.
There is no one hospital today, no one ER which will administer 400 units of insulin to diabetic. We simple die due to high numbers glucose in blood. Insulin which all the time available for injections in big cities in every hospital, not available for diabetics type 2. To avoid problem with very sick patient Hospital will discharge patient without admitting to hospital, and even without any attempt to provide any service. This is treatment diabetics do have in present time in every medical clinic. Just remember Mrs Davidson in Florida. She was seeking help in hospital. She was treated as she is criminal, and was escorted to the police station, which she did not reach. She died before she got into police car.
There is no one test which will show the level of insulin in blood any one need within any 24 hours. No one test is available in present days. C Peptide level will show only one moment of the blood, but not 24 hours range. In one moment insulin level can be normal, why not? Usually it is fasting, after more then 2 hours meal. This level of C Peptide can be OK. What about after meal, right after meal? Is in this time insulin in normal range? If so then why diabetic type 2 get more hungry with every bite we take? Because of there is no insulin in our blood. We are 'resistant to insulin' those who need higher dose of insulin to survive then 'insulin dependent diabetics' who do not need abnormally huge dose of insulin and can control blood sugar level with daily dose up to 50 units. I need 300 units, and this is just normal dose of insulin, not huge such as 4000 at 24 hours.
