Insulin Resistance diagnose in 1952 in Joslin Diabetes Center. February 15, 2017

What is insulin Resistance? What is Diabetes type 2? What is body system does not use insulin properly? This is medical condition I am diagnosed with, and this medical treatment for my condition based on. So, I tried to find out what is it? It cannot have long history in medical industry. Treatment  with insulin is relatively new for humanity, so the insulin resistance must be introduced not long time ago, how? By whom? Based on what?
"Resistance to insulin. (By Alexander Marble, M.D.). - from time to time, since the introduction of insulin, reports have appeared regarding individuals with whom extraordinary large amount of insulin have been required in order to control the diabetic condition." (The treatment of Diabetes Mellitus by Elliott P. Joslin  and others. Lea & Febiger. Philadelphia.1952. Pp 296)
Normal dose of insulin diabetic could need to live and live without complications was under 200 units. When Resistance to insulin happened, dose of insulin ride dramatically up.
"Thus in the patient of Levi and Friedman in whom diabetes was accompanied by chronic lymphatic leukemia, 76,195 units were administered in forty-seven days; on four successive days, the patient received 4000 units in each twenty - four hours."
It is difficult to believe in present days that dose of insulin in quantities like this could be administered. It is not only one patient medical history. In book authors present table where patient received huge dose of insulin. Usually it was not for the prolonged time. Some of them had another medical condition and this was why they needed so high dose. Other did not have it clear why this happened, but they needed huge dose of insulin, short time, then dose of insulin dropped dramatically, and with time it returned back to normal dose under 200 units daily. Some of those patients took only 60 units.
It is different now. 95% diabetic population diagnosed with insulin resistance, and treated with life style modifications. It is  presented by ADA that diabetes type 2 can be reversed with Starvation diet. No any questions why mortality of  diabetics number 3 in USA. No one can live without insulin, diabetic or not, insulin dependent diabetics or insulin resistant diabetics. We all need insulin to live. The difference between non diabetic and me only, that my pancreas does not work, so I need insulin delivered from outside.
Back in past insulin sensitivity was introduced. Today our medical education program very actively publicized this term. Every one do know very well what sensitivity to insulin one do have. How they do know it?  They divide person's weight in pounds on 4, and this number present sensitivity to insulin. Needless to say, this absurd very popular between fake diabetics who has no one idea what is it, but like to show up its bran activity. Initially sensitivity to insulin was not counted according to body weight but the dose of insulin needed to keep high numbers on the best possible control.
Today no one medical doctor will do this job. In no one hospital no one doctor would administer dose of insulin in such huge amount. They prefer to discharge diabetic from ER, or simple put victim outside in dark corner, and weight till victim gone.
Dose of insulin I take, 300 units right now, and 400 units highest dose, is not so high as I can see right now. It is not big deal to take it, just sometimes low blood sugar. But most of us do not need so high dose. Dose of insulin under 200 units, and in average under 100 units will safe millions of our lives.  It is not profitable. With insulin we will avoid complications, very high profit for medical industry. we will live nice  and sound. What about profit? It is better to diagnose diabetic with insulin resistance and deny insulin therapy.

If you have type 2 diabetes your body does not use insulin properly. This is called insulin resistance. At first, your pancreas makes extra insulin to make up for it. But, over time it isn't able to keep up and can't make enough insulin to keep your blood glucose at normal levels. - See more at: http://ift.tt/2lOZBRb
