Insulin Resistance diagnose by Dr. Joslin in 1936

Case 14483. A thirty-seven year old woman with chronic arthritis, who for one and a half years has required from 300 to over 600 units of insulin a day in order to control hyperglycemia and glycosuria.
Insulin resistance: When insulin was first made available one constantly saw reports of cases of insulin resistance. Soon it appeared that new instances were not being reported in children, and at present practically no accounts insulin - resistant, true, uncomplicated diabetes at any period in life appear, because when insulin does not work, we found the reason.        In his book Dr. Joslin present cases with dose of insulin as high as 1680 units a day, still sugar was too high and diabetic died in coma. To keep diabetic alive in some cases there were more than 3000 units injected during 24 hours. Diabetic survived. This condition Dr.E.P. Joslin presented as 'insulin - resistance', the condition when dose of insulin was dramatically high, and yet diabetic did not have insulin reaction, meaning low blood sugar. The condition of when dose of insulin was less then 100 units, was considered as 'insulin - sensitive' diabetes. When dose of insulin required high to keep urine from show sugar the diabetes was named 'insulin - resistant'
As we all do know, today insulin - resistant diabetes presented that diabetic type 2 do not require insulin at all.  It is presented that diabetics type 2 would not benefit from insulin, because of we do have excessive level of insulin in our blood. I still not find it, how this expression replaced early understanding of insulin-resistance. I do not think it is too important. The important part is, insulin work perfectly to treat diabetes type 2. We simple need higher dose of insulin, and we are easy tolerate high dose of insulin, difference between type 2 and type 1 diabetics. They are insulin sensitive, so very low dose of insulin, sometimes as low as 7 units in one injection, and they keep level of sugar under control. We do need high dose of insulin.
In all these talks about dose of insulin and blood sugar control, most important part is that pancreas can be not only treated with insulin, but cured by insulin. It is right in the book by Dr. Jposlin. Beta cells can be restored with insulin therapy. The studies show this in dogs. Looks like today there are less studies how to cure diabetics, but a lot of studies how to keep us on the hook. Of cause it is understandable. Healthy Patient no longer Paying Patient. But if doctor keep diabetic on the short lush of diet and crabs counting, then diabetic come back. Money still flow, even diabetics die one after another. There are still too many of us, and a new cases of diabetics children diagnosed.
As it was observed, diabetic children do have high insulin sensitivity, meaning, they recovery with insulin and require small dose of insulin in injections to support own well being. It is different with adults. Adult have more complicated diabetes development. So, if children would be early diagnosed, and right treated with insulin therapy, then it is obvious the number of adult diabetics would not grow, but will drop with time. To prevent this from being happened, our medical care diagnose children with type 2 diabetes, and so lead the next generation to the medical clinic. Simple and Brilliant.
Another Brilliant Idea is to use diet as first line treatment for diabetics type 2. With time finally all diabetics type 2 would need insulin to still alive. But it never happens fast, so Medical care has time to decrease the healthy working beta cells to the condition when there is not too many of them still available. Then there is insulin would be initiated, if diabetic is lucky and still alive at that time. If for every one diabetic regardless of the level of fat on the middle ares the first line treatment would be insulin , then probably even severe cases of insulin - resistance would not be developed into dangerously non-treatable diabetes, fatal level of sugar, but the ability of pancreas to secret insulin would be restored, and diabetic would be cured.
