As I do remember, Dr. Banting took off part of dog's pancreas, so dog developed diabetes, and then he injected extract to treat diabetic dog. This was how insulin was found. He did not work with mice. Pancreas of mice is too tiny. It is not possible to reduce the part of it to work it correctly.He even did not use cats and rabbits, to difficult to work with, animals are too small.
In contrary, modern study based on mice animal models. Really, what they study? How it is possible to relay on the studies they done?
