The tips by medical education are the same: eat right, be active, do not smoke, dink red wine. These tips are active for any medical conditions to prevent, to treat and to get rid from life. It is bore, and there is nothing new or interesting.
Side effects.
If I do have poison effect, would it be nice to take this medicine? I had poison effect on Metformin. I could not take it. MD Rx another medicine to add- on to metformin to reduce poison effect. It took me 4 years to get adapted to Metformin. And another 8 years to finally understand that this medicine is poison for me, just poison,, and no benefits. Finally I put all left Metformin into trash, and never returned to this poison.
so, the question is, should I take medicine if side effects are too severe to take it? How to get that side effect actually must be accepted and medicine I take is what I have to take?
I do have another problem. It is Asthma. All medicine for Asthma is with high side effects if it is effective in first place. Some medicine does not work for me, and there is no need to take it with or without side effects. Other type of medicine is what I need to take to deal with Asthma attack and how to prevent them, but side effects are very very severe. The medicine is working. I take Symbicort. It is very effective. Just two puffs, and attack would stop. To prevent any other attacks, Symbicort used as treatment. I have to take it two puffs every day. And I cannot.
Symbicort is steroidal medicine. I got very very dizzy. It looks like I can pass out at any moment. It does not last too long, just a few seconds. But if I stand I can collapse. I can hurt myself. So, regardless of very unpleasant side effect I take this medicine.
Cost:
All medicine for Asthma is brad medicine. No generic medicine wich works for me. So, there is co-pay, $30 for each delivery.
All medicine for Diabetes such as insulin, medical supply such as needles and strips are brand only.
co-pay $30 each supply.
Nitrostat I have to have all the time, co-pay $20 for each supply. Nitrostat cost $25, but co-pay is really high, $20. I do not know why it is so high still I very need this medicine , I do not take any step without it, so I pay.
There are another medicine I have to take and pay co-pay, and I pay all what I have to pay. I am disable person. I do not have any income. No SSI. So, my man pay all my medical needs. Now he has Health Plan his company he works with provide for employees. I do have medicine I need and medical care I need.
What if there is no money to pay for medical care, medicine or medical supply? What we are doing?
Nothing. Really, what I can do? To go to subway station and ask for handouts? I cannot do it. Anyway, it is too much I need to ask. Only insulin supply cost more then $2,000 for month supply. Now I need more because for any reason the dose of insulin increased, and I have to follow this demand. For one year it would be $24,000 +. Not too many work places can provide medical care for person like me. What is the resolution? Solution? Just let all go as it is go. There is nothing what we can do. For someone like me Insulin is only reason I am alive. No insulin, no life, just pain, and not for long.
Diabetics type 2 gone less then 10 years after being diagnosed with diabetes type 2. If diabetic type 2 started to take insulin there is window opportunity to survive and live another 10 years, or more.
forgetfulness
Easy to say, difficult to accept. If I do need insulin to survive I do not forget to take it. Yes, of cause I can forget it sometimes. It is not common, and usually it does not happen very often. If I forget to take it next time my sugar go up and up, so it is better to take insulin as soon as possible. If I ignore to take it, or I do not have insulin to take then .... well I already posted how it looks like when there is no insulin. It is pain and many other problems. So, usually diabetics do not forget insulin injections. Same about my other medicine. I cannot forget to take Excedrin, my headache will remind me. LOL I do not want it, so I take Excedrin together with all the set of medicine I need to take.
So, why really we do not take medicine MD Rx to us? The first question, is this really true that this medicine is what I need? There are a lot of medicine which is good for MD to Rx, but useless for patient to take, or even harming. This medicine is better to forget to take, As I just said about Metformin. Stop to take it if you take it, and take a look how blood sugar going. If it go up then Metformin is medicine to take to reduce glucose level. If really sugar getting better then say me, do you really need it?
3. Take Your Heart Medicine
It sounds like a no-brainer, but don't skip your meds. Many people don't take their medications the way their doctor told them to. Figure out what keeps you from taking your medicine -- it could be side effects, cost, or forgetfulness -- and ask your doctor for help.Mow there is my question: why people do not take medicine doctor Rx for them?
