Can Diabetes Be Diagnosed With a Single Blood Sample? Why not? October 4, 2018

Current clinical practice guidelines recommend the use of fasting glucose, hemoglobin A1c, or 2-hour glucose for the diagnosis of diabetes. According to the clinical guidelines, there is no preferred test; however, the guidelines explicitly state that a second test is needed to confirm the diagnosis of diabetes. Additionally, the same test in a second blood sample at a second point in time is recommended to confirm the diagnosis.
So, why the question, if one single test can be used to diagnose diabetes type 2?
Just take blood test, see the number on glucose meter 370 mg/dl, and BMI higher then 1850 standard. Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, really why it is so difficult to diagnose diabetes? Because of when sugar is around normal, there is no way that diabetic come to clinic. There is still no problem yet, and diabetes is not developed to so high stage that diabetic in coma. At the same time a lot of health complications already started to show up. Of cause, it is important to diagnose diabetes as early as it can be, why? To get more income from the victim till diabetic developed so high stage that every one in every clinic simple refuse to admit victim of medical negligence.
     Need prove?
Well, take a look at the article, what is there? How to diagnose diabetes. It is assumed that level of sugar somehow between normal and a little bit higher then normal. With millions of not diagnosed diabetics  really it is very effective. Those millions already do have sugar level not above the normal, but a little bit less then fatal. Take as many blood test as you wish, they are all abnormal and high.
So, it means that diabetes diagnosed, right? Wrong. What if it is "Diabetes-like " condition? I posted not long time ago that with Leukemia level of sugar is high, and what does it presented by author? It is 'diabetes-like' not diabetes.  WOW! Very impressive. This is why to conform diagnose to be diabetes there are tests must be run. Which tests? Level of sugar in blood. Sorry, I really still not able to get the humor. It does not matter if it is A1c, FBG, or 2-hr glucose test (Say me what does this mean) sugar in blood still present, meaning it is diabetes, right? What about test for "diabetes-like" condition? And really, what is it, to have high blood sugar but do not be diabetic? Oh, yes, person with diabetes. I am old fashion person with diabetes type 2, please forgive me.
BTW, A1c and FBG and 2-hr level of sugar can be taken in one patient visit. Why not? Just take blood sample, and see A1c, and the second test, fasting, then  2 Hr later take one more sample.
Why it is two hr test? It is suggested that after 2 hr level of sugar dropping back to the normal level. There is the problem. How do one know if it is fasting? How do it is known that it is 2 hr after meal blood sugar level?
Now the question is, why it is all the time all tests related to the level of sugar in blood? Diabetes is the medical condition when insulin secretion is abnormally low. Simple, take simple of insulin in blood and see if it is normal or if it is abnormally high, or it is abnormally low. This test never run. No one test for the level of insulin in blood. Still, the diagnose, type 2 diabetes suggest that level of insulin in blood is abnormally high. Based on what? This diagnose based on what test? No one test for this diagnose every run for any one diabetic type 2.

As it is usual with charlatanism in every setting and levels, every one loudly discuss and provide high performance show up. Still, does not matter how active this charlatans meeting, diagnose of diabetes based on level of sugar in blood, regardless if it is A1c level, FBG, or 2 hr reading, it does not show what happened with patient's pancreas and insulin secreting cells.
