Is this method reliable? Well, if I said today to doctor that I had strokes what did doctor said? Show me medical diagnose that you really had it. What about medical diagnose? There is no medical diagnose if one has stroke, even when one is in hospital at the right time. Patients in this condition would be discharged right away. At least it is in NYC, in Brooklyn. I was in three hospitals one after another. No diagnose. The only one treatment is for patient in condition of stroke or Heart attack, go home if one can. If not then there is room far away from public, and patient left alone till patient would be able to leave hospital to go home or to be transported to Mosque.Emails, letters and telephone communications received between July 2011 and September 2012 were evaluated (n = 77: 66 men, 11 women). Median diabetes duration was 5.5 years (3 months-28 years). Reversal of diabetes was defined as achieving fasting capillary blood glucose < 6.1 mmol/l and/or, if available, HbA1c less than 43 mmol/mol (6.1%) off treatment. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23320491
Still, the reports how diabetes type 2 was reversed by simple call or e-mail are very widely accepted. Why not? BTW, only 77 person responded for full year. LOL! This is very good info. At least there are some people who does not want to be used as tools to fool others.
Self-reported weight fell from 96.7 ± 17.5 kg at baseline to 81.9 ± 14.8 kg after weight loss (P < 0.001). Self-reported fasting blood glucose levels fell from 8.3 mmol/l (5.9-33.0) to 5.5 mmol/l (4.0-10.0) after the weight loss period (P < 0.001). Diabetes reversal was considered to have occurred in 61% of the population. Reversal of diabetes was observed in 80, 63 and 53% of those with > 20, 10-20 and < 10 kg weight loss, respectively. There was a significant correlation between degree of weight loss and reported fasting glucose levels (Rs -0.38, P = 0.006). Reversal rates according to diabetes duration were: short (< 4 years) = 73%, medium (4-8 years) = 56% and long (> 8 years) = 43%.OK, weight 81.9 kg is far away from being good and healthy. It is already obesity according to BMI standards. Now, 8.3 mmol/L is 150 mg/dl. 5.5mmol/L is 100 mg/dl. it is fasting level of sugar. Still, it is level of sugar, not the level of insulin in blood. Diabetes is not sufficient insulin secretion. Level of insulin secretion can stay the same, not sufficient. So, when meal is taken what was the level of sugar or what was the level of insulin secretion?
These data demonstrate that intentional weight loss achieved at home by health-motivated individuals can reverse Type 2 diabetes. Diabetes reversal should be a goal in the management of Type 2 diabetes. To reverse diabetes type 2 what does it mean? Do they have diabetes? Were they cured? How to understand this claim? 81.9 kg is still obesity. 5.5 mmol/L is not stable. If patient still take the all treatment which lead to weight loss and diabetes reversal what will happen? Would level of sugar drop intentionally? What if participants in this study take steps to reduce another 10 kg in weight? Would they have low blood sugar? Would they have fasting about 50 mg/dl or 60 mg/dl.? Then longer treatment for diabetes then better results, right? But the level of sugar 50 mg/dl is low blood sugar. So, what diabetic type 2 suppose to do? Reverse reversed diabetes type 2 back to diabetes type 2? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just project conclusion of the study, as usually all med pro doing. And result is just pure humor.
Following publication of the Counterpoint Study (on the reversibility of Type 2 diabetes using a very low energy diet), the extent of public interest prompted the authors to make available, on a website, general information about reversing diabetes. Shortly thereafter, individuals began to feed back their personal experiences of attempting to reverse their diabetes. We have collated this information on the effects of energy restriction in motivated individuals with Type 2 diabetes that has been achieved outside a research setting. This studies were published back to 2013. Now it is 2019, 5 years later. What are those who reversed diabetes type 2 back in 2013? Well, they are skinny and very fit. If they lost 10 kg every year then for 5 years every one of them lost 50 kg. From 96.7 down to 46,7 kg. With every 10 kg of body weight which were lost level of sugar in blood dropped down to 2.7 mmlol/L So, now they do have ... O My God! Are they still alive with so low sugar? Where they are? Is there someone will post how they live with diabetes they reversed?
