As pointed out by researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, there is a powerful argument that the WHO should recommend a maximum limit of sugar consumption to make up no more than 3% of daily calories (about three teaspoons). http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/871064?nlid=110489_1521&src=WNL_mdplsfeat_161108_mscpedit_wir&uac=164666HZ&spon=17&impID=1230743&faf=1#vp_2Why do not ask WHO to set up regulations, how to diagnose diabetes type 2? What are the differences between type 2 diabetes and type 1? Back in 1980 WHO presented its recommendations to diagnose children and adult before age 25 as diabetic type 1, and treat them with insulin injections. Adult population, those who are older then 25 started to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and treatment for us is oral medications, I name all of them TRASH MEDICINE. Why it is Trash Medicine? Because of it is very harmful and lead diabetics to the fatal level of sugar. It is even worse then no any treatment at all. At least we have to fight only diabetes, and do not have side effects of trash medicine. In addition to kill diabetics who are already do effected, this type of treatment effect next generation, children who would be born to parents with diabetes type 2. Probably it is time to see where Diabetes type 2 epidemic come from?
The similarities between Big Tobacco and the sugar industry are disturbing. As a recent publication in JAMA Internal Medicine showed, the sugar industry paid three influential Harvard scientists to downplay sugar's role in heart disease and to shift the blame to fat. Last year, the New York Times exposed that the Coca-Cola Company paid millions of dollars to fund research that downplayed the role of sugary drinks in obesity and push lack of exercise as the main factor. The question now is, who paid to JAMA for this publication? Good question I think to ask. Another question is, why Sugar Industry must simple sit back and take the damage publications about how sugary drink effect diabetes type 2 development do for sugary industry? Really, who would? No one.
And, according to one former UK shadow health minister, the incorrect advocacy of a low-fat, high-carbohydrate, and high-sugar diet by "morally corrupt scientists and politicians who allowed themselves to be manipulated by food suppliers" is to blame for global obesity. No Comments. See, WHO is Your Daddy, and how your daddy highly corrupted.
GENEVA (Reuters) - Governments should tax sugary drinks to fight the global epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the World Health Organization said on Tuesday.New Prohibition Law, now on Sugary drinks. Say me, was it effective many years ago when alcohol war prohibited? Ok, let us see why today alcoholism still high? take a look at medical Recommendations by Health Care Providers. What they suggest? Red Wine. Red wine is effective to prevent heart attacks, show me any prove it is true. Red wine to drop blood sugar level. Really? Red Wine to decrease evidence of silent strokes. And so on and on and on. Of cause, it is good to fight obesity. And it is perfect to forget family and social responsibilities. Lost job. Food for healthy eating. Neglected children. Homelessness. Why it is not recommended to smoke? Smoke, the same as Red Wine suppress appetite. Good to fight obesity.
The positive health effects of reducing sugar intake appear to be quite rapid. In a study of 43 Latino and African American children with metabolic syndrome, keeping total calories and calories from carbohydrate identical, a reduction from a mean of 28% of calories from added sugar to 10% significantly reduced triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and fasting insulin within just 10 days.WOW! How this was found that fasting insulin was reduced in children regarding the sugar consumption? BTW, why it is important to reduce fasting insulin secretion? Just say me, why do I need to reduce level of fasting insulin in my blood? Really, I do take 80 units of insulin as soon as I checked up my morning fasting level of sugar.
Yes, Greatest quality of studies. LOLOLOL
After I read this part of article I lost all my interest to the publication. SCAM! Nothing more then SCAM! Author even do not know difference between fasting blood sugar and pretend one do know about fasting insulin secretion. My Goodness!
Interesting, there are 93 comments to the publication. What did they saaid?
Looks like author do know very well recreational drugs, and uses them widely for recreation so one has 'happy ours' everywhere one go. It is really very easy to use. If one needs to take alcohol, one need to carry bottle, and then find spot to drink the wine or spirit. But drug is much easy. No problem to take. I do know it. I take Nitrostat in Metropolitan Opera house, and no one even noted it.
I am gunning for something more colorful but closer to the truth... Sugar is no more different from recreational drugs. In fact, I am amazed at how similar it is to it seeing that it provides the same euphoria and addiction not unlike drugs.
As a Paediatrician, we do not have to leave that decision especially as it concerns children to the sugar leanings of their caregivers or the society at large because that venture is tailored to fail. Let's begin by changing health policies and educating the public. \To educate to do what? How to use recreational drugs? No thank.
While you are at it, why not remember that hypoglycemics will be unfairly treated by a tax on high sugar consumption. Perhaps the normal adult is mature enough to choose their diet without adding another dietary witch hunt to the overburdened public health issues. What penalty would you impose for those that are above the norm on their BMI? Could this be an introduction of "Diet Nazis" monitoring our BMI to the point where punitive measures are taken for those persons exhibiting a BMI which indicates an overweight condition?Sorry, author do not understand that point is about diabetics, and we do have high blood sugar level This is why all those publications about it. Our Medical Educators educate public that sugar in blood resulted by high blood sugar consumption. Take my shoe! Walk in it! You all will need to pay tax for sugar, and believe me, it would be high. I really do not care too much about it.
Most realistic point how to treat obese diabetics type 2. In different places the faculties have different names, such as Camps or Sanatorium. The point is the same, no meal, a lot of work. Soon, there is no diabetics.
If your proposal is enacted, does it mean that if in a restaurant, when dessert time comes, one has to go outside to eat it?Of cause not, doctor. You do not need to eat it, you just have to pay for it. But do not worry about it, it is already in your bill, do you like it or not.
let the anti sugar compaign be given a serious push to save the world of the adverse effects of it and save the humanity of the onslaught of the bulk of non communicable diseases that are preventible without bearing any cost and rather save the humanity of the high cost and morbidity and mortality by keeping it away, being our sweet killer.Very pathetic. It is doctor comment. Unfortunately as usual our doctors mislead us. They simple do not know where is tail and how head looks like. Sugar is not our killer. Sugar is source of energy every human being use to function. We can take sugar or do not take it. Really it does not matter. When we eat food converted into glucose. I am really surprising, no one looks so educated to know such fact. So, regardless we take bread, soup, or soda, any human being blood sugar would be rising. It is how our body function. Why it is so unknown so far?
When insulin added to blood stream, glucose converted into energy, so our heart can beat and out lungs can push air. So simple to remember. When there is no insulin secretion, how medical industry present diabetes type 1, then sugar stay in blood and heart has no energy to push our blood. When insulin secretion is limited or insulin is poor quality, diabetes type 2 how it is presented by Medical Complex, then glucose stay in blood, and we die. Simple shot of insulin will safe life of diabetic type 2. There is no insulin for diabetics type 2. we have to function on limited insulin secretion our ill pancreas still able to secret. So, with time sugar in blood getting higher and higher, and we die with high blood sugar level, or as a result of heart arrest due to absence of energy resulted by limit of insulin in blood. It is not sugar must be stopped to be consumed, but any meal. Then we die from starvation.
White sugar, white flour, magarines and alcohol are all plant-based, but I wouldn't recommend these foods to my patients on a daily basis at all...good one.
