Testing for diabetes. Did I miss something? Just take closer look. Probably my vision is too poor that I do not see most important information. If one find it, please say it something.

Table 3.1—Components of the comprehensive diabetes medical evaluation*
What I am looking for is test to check up, if diabetic's pancreas healthy or not? There are many tests run, but all of them just supportive tests. No one test to see, how pancreas working, if it secret insulin, if there are something wrong with pancreas? No one test. After that we all, diabetics type 2, presented that our pancreas secret insulin in over needed amount, but our body system does not use it. In contrary with diabetics type 1 whose pancreas does not secret insulin. Sorry, there is no one test for insulin secretion in diagnostic of diabetes, ether type 2, nether type 1.
Another interesting point, thyroid - stimulating hormone in patients with diabetes type 1. Still, according to Standard of Care 2017
SU stimulate ill diabetic's type 2 pancreas to secret more insulin. With time the ability to do the job fall deeper in B-cells loss and this is why diabetics type 2 die withing 10 years after being diagnosed with diabetes type 2. In contrary with diabetics type 1, who not only live almost normal life but with time they regain ability to decrease dose of insulin injection, which mean that pancreas recovery and partially or in full start to secret amount of insulin needed for healthy body function.

Type 1 diabetes (due to autoimmune b-cell destruction, usually leading to absolute insulin deficiency)ether type of diabetes is due to loss B-cell insulin ability to secret insulin, absolute or not. No one test will show there is no insulin secretion at all because of 'normal ranger' for C-peptide is from 0.8 to 5. So, if there is less then 1 still, it is not absolute but within healthy target. Then why one test run for type 1 diabetics, such as test for Thyroid, and another test, such as BMI only to diagnose type 2 diabetics? What if type 1 diabetic has high BMI and type 2 diabetic has problem with thyroid stimulating hormone? What if test for C-Peptide level would be given to type 2 diabetics, would we have high insulin secretion before SU therapy started? I do not think so. The problem is, there is no test for diabetes type diagnose. This is the reason why 95% of diabetic population type 2 diabetics.
Type 2 diabetes (due to a progressive loss of b-cell insulin secretion frequently on
the background of insulin resistance)
SU stimulate ill diabetic's type 2 pancreas to secret more insulin. With time the ability to do the job fall deeper in B-cells loss and this is why diabetics type 2 die withing 10 years after being diagnosed with diabetes type 2. Type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes are heterogeneous diseases in which clinicalThis is most important point. To determine therapy it is important to diagnose what type of diabetes. But odd of this diagnostic is, at first it is diagnose give, diabetic type 2, then it is therapy Rx, life style modifications, Metformin, and because of no one of these work, SU added. Diabetic's type 2 pancreas flogged to secret unneeded insulin, and diabetic type 2 skip into deeper deficit of insulin secretion, b-cells loss. Initially diabetics type 2 in better health condition. But treatment lead to increased lost of b-cells. With time, and it is usually less then 10 years, diabetics type 2 gone if we do not start to take insulin. With insulin, right insulin therapy, we can live additional 10 or even more years. I started insulin therapy in 2011. Now it is 2016, five years extra plus to my life, thanks to Insulin.
presentation and disease progression may vary considerably. Classification is important for determining therapy, but some individuals cannot be clearly classified as
having type 1 or type 2 diabetes at the time of diagnosis.
