Day-by-Day. December 20, 2016

Today blood sugar is 65 mg/dl.
It is low blood sugar, at least how do I feel it. Well, ADA recommend to consider low blood sugar much lower then 65 mg/dl. Anyway, why do I need someone to recommend to me what to do if I feel I need to do something about it? I took 100 units of Lantus Solo Star, the last shot in pen. If it was not last shot I would take only 80 units. When there is last shot I take all what was left, 100 units or just 60, does not matter, only one shot. Then I went to the kitchen to take my meal. No any sugary drink, just regular meal as I usually take. I never take any sugary drink when sugar is low. I prefer milk, hot milk, hot coffee with milk, or just soup. Today it was soup. No bread.
I took 260 units of Lantus Solo Star Yesterday, in four shots. First was 60 units, last shot in pen. Last was 40 units. And two between, 80 units each. lastly I started to take higher dose of insulin, usually 300 units a day. No low blood sugar episodes. Yesterday it was only 260 units, and there is low blood sugar episode. As I said many times, sugar is tricky. Today it can be just perfect, and tomorrow it is high or low. I do see low blood sugar episodes in positive way. It means that my pancreas does not getting worse. It mean that insulin secretion does not shrinking. Good to know it. Or just feel in this way.
Winter going to the snow. But it is New York. We do have Atlantic ocean. So, snow fall, and soon it is melted away. Right now it is sunny and dry outside. The Spring is around. The blood sugar getting better, as I do hope every time when sun is shining. It is less problems with heart, and I no longer take Nitrostat every day a few times. I still take it, but usually it is when I am going to Lincoln Center, very long way to walk from street to house. The same about Excedrin. I do not take it in such quantities as I did in Fall. There is no so severe headache.
