According to background information in the study, some 4.6 million children and teens in the United States are severely obese -- defined as roughly 100 pounds or more overweight.This level of obesity based on the BMI formula developed back to 1850. Today children and teens defined 'obese'. Back to 1850 these kids would be on list 'death'. Now the question is, how teens and kids benefit today from being at the weight of 1850 BMI? Do they have benefits or they lost?
Severe obesity leads to poor health and quality of life, which is why many of these teens are offered the option to undergo weight-loss surgery, the researchers explained.Option to undergo weight loss surgery is not to improve health or quality of life but to benefit Medical Organization. Just think about, the cost of surgery, then another surgery, and then .... really what 'then'?
Among the teens who had weight-loss surgery, the number of those with diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood pressure dropped significantly. Along with these health benefits, however, 78 percent of the teens developed low levels of vitamin D, and 16 percent were deficient in vitamin B12. Mild anemia was diagnosed in 46 percent of these young people.Easy to say, difficult to believe. How it was diagnosed that teen is no longer diabetic? Really, what was test to define, teen is no longer diabetic? Sure these teen was type 2 diabetic. So, if type 1 diabetic always diabetic type 1 then type 2 diabetic will be no longer diabetic. How many of us, diabetics type 2 live with not diagnosed diabetes? Diagnose of diabetes in teen the same as someone dropped charges.Then simple do not check teen's pancreas, and there is no diabetes at all.
About blood pressure, the same. Simple do not check up in clinic the reading, so there is no any reason to say teen has it.
Now back to studies. 78% of the teens has low Vit D, as every one diabetic. I do not know why, but my vit D is all the time low. Only now when I take insulin in dose I need I started to get up with Vit D and it is on low level of normal ranger.
- Healthy blood pressure and arteries;
- Balanced blood sugar;
- Optimal immune function
Eight years after surgery, these patients had an average weight reduction of 30 percent. Nearly two-thirds of the teens remained obese, though not severely so. The study showed that only one patient dropped down to a normal weight.So, what all these %%%%% are about? How many teens undergo weight loss surgery? This 30% from what number? Just 18 teens from 58, not from all teens who undergo surgery. Why they did not studied all of them at leas in one hospital? Because of even with only 58 of the best the result is devastated.
In one of the new studies, researchers followed 58 young Americans between 13 and 21 years old who had one type of weight-loss surgery known as gastric bypass.What are the results? Malnutrition.
These nutritional deficiencies could stem from the fact that the teens were simply eating less, or they may be absorbing nutrients less well, the researchers explained.Now say me, is this really high quality of life? These teens will go to college, very difficult and stressful time. No mammy around to cook well and check up if kid takes sleep. The studies in college demand very high brain activity, and there is small stomach to let nutrition to support increased demand in meal to meet a new activity and fast body grow. Really, teens, boys eat a lot at age of 13. Some of them probably get obese, most are not. Never forget, many of those who obese were diabetics type 2 before they undergo weight loss surgery. If they were type 1 diabetics they would have insulin, and with help of insulin they would not need to take so much food. In type 2 diabetics insulin secretion is very slow. If insulin taken before meal then it will start to work right away and meal would be digested properly and used properly. When there is no insulin we are hungry, extremely hungry. Personally I take insulin shot when my blood sugar is low. Otherwise I simple cannot stop to eat, getting more hungry with every bite I take.
It was time when I tried to curb my appetite and refused to eat even I was extremely hungry. I am very strong, I could do it. Just about two hours, and there is no any hunger. I found myself in hospital. No more fighting after that. If I am hungry, I eat, does not matter how abusive all my doctors. But right now I do have insulin, and I do not need to eat without stopping. I do have fatty body, still, it is not because of my stomach is too big. Simple, say what is the size of stomach is 'normal'? There is no such data. For every one the size of stomach after weight loss surgery is the same, the size of hen egg. Is this reasonable? Not for me.
For the second study, researchers tracked 81 obese teens and adults in Sweden who had weight-loss surgery and compared them to 80 teens who didn't have the procedure. They found those who had the surgery had maintained an average 28 percent weight reduction after five years, while those who didn't have surgery gained more weight.I do love all those %%%%%. What I wish to ask, how tall teens are? If they grow taller? Or they are shorter then generation before them? In NYC Chinese teens are very tall. They just tall. It is so surprising, because of all old Chinese people in average shorter then Americans. Young generation simple tall. If so, then why it is so many talks about weight of teens? Someone get taller, other get wider. Never forget about climate changing. Probably people get ready for Ice Age? This is why we are getting fatty, to be ready for cold weather?
But among the teens who had the surgery, 25 percent did require additional surgery to manage complications from the procedure or the rapid weight loss that followed, such as bowel blockage and gallstones.No Comment. Just one question, why it is named as, health benefits'?
This meant more time in hospitals: Teens who had weight-loss surgery were hospitalized for an average of 6.5 days, while those who didn't have surgery were in the hospital for 1.5 days on average.This is only studies, and for studies usually they do very careful selection, so it is best who had benefited from weight loss surgery. Other finished up in not so beneficial way.
It's not clear which type of weight-loss surgery works best for teens, Inge said. "Since there are currently two effective bariatric procedures, namely gastric bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy, we are currently examining the outcomes of both procedures to determine what is best for adolescents," he said.Best type of weight loss surgery for teens is to keep them away from surgeon. Teens will get better if they can. At least they will not get worse. Teen have long life ahead. Time will come and weight loss surgery will be out of table. I can say, it is all the time presented that in our time we were not obese. And what is good in this? Now I am 65, obese person with high blood sugar. I am alive. My kids grow up with mother. There are many in my cohort who is gone by now. Also my father who never was obese, gone at age of 37. Why do I need to be fit? I prefer to be alive and I am happy who I am. Let us let teens and kids grow as well as they can, fatty and fit, skinny or tall, does not matter. There is no one benefit in weight loss surgery for teens and kids. Time will come and at age of 65 they will perfectly fit. The same as we right now. We were fit at teen age, and now we are obese. They are obese right now and at age of 65 they will fit. Nothing different, never the same.
