It is strongly believed that obesity leads to diabetes type 2. By whom this believe created? This is important question, why this believe was created? Who benefit from this believe? Is this really true that obesity is blame for diabetes type 2 development? Or it is vice versa, diabetes type 2 which leads to obesity?
For me, it is not the question which I am looking to find the answer. For me it does not matter if I am obese or not. The matter is only, how to still be functional as long as it is possible for me, live as independent as I can be. I am dependent person now. But I still able to get out of bed, to walk a short distance, to go to listen to the opera I adore so much, and to go camping in Summer. Most important, I am able to turn on my bed without help. One who never was in this condition probably would not be able to understand how it is important to be able to get around the bed, and even get off the bed. This is who I am today.
If it is strongly believed that obesity leads to diabetes type 2, to the high blood sugar lebvel, then it is suppose to work in opposite direction. If I do keep my numbers under constant control with insulin injections, then I will start to lose weight, right? I hope I do right. At least it is my priority, to keep numbers under control.I try to do it in best way I can.

Now I took my eve meal, and big bowl of ice-cream. Big one. I love ice-cream.

Now what is interesting for me today. I took reading at 11 am, the time usually I take secong insulin injection. But I did not take it as usual. I was so weak, was not able to go to kitchen. So, second shot was taken after 3 pm. Then I took my supper, good meal. easy to see two nex readings, just a little bit over 200 mg/dl. As I said, the meal was good, right what I want and no any limits, as much as I wonted. Some people pretend that I said I ate three big top pizzas at once because of there is no limit. But it is not the case. I take all what I want, but it does not mean I want three top pizzas.
I wished to see how big bawl ice-cream will effect my glucose level. It did not effect too much.
It is easy to see that my numbers do not run too high. But even more interesting observation, the dose of insulin a little bit down. It is only 220 units for today.
I do not pretend it will be my dose of insulin for long time. I do not know that. I just try to collect data, to be good observer. Also I try to post it as much as I can just in case if someone is interesting to see, how really numbers and diet effect each other.
My very strong believe is that diabetes is the Gap between level of insulin in demand our body system needs and the level of insulin available in secretion. Then wider this Gap then higher glucose numbers on glucose meter, and then higher dose of insulin to cover this Gap.
My another believe and it is also very strong, that diet leads to the stress and decrease in insulin secretion. Diet is the limit in the quality of meal and in its quantity. So, regardless if it is quantity or quality, it is stress and our body system does not get what its need for healthy function. I can eat, and still hungry, like I never ate before. Or I can eat very small amount of meal, get full, and satisfied. This is why I take coffee rather then tea. With coffee I am satisfied, with tea I still hungry.
The biggest problem with our medicine today, there is no patient - doctor contact. There is no longer doctors observe patients, how medicine effect or not, dose medicine need to be changed, or it is better to leave it as it is. This is why I try to do my best to learn, how to survive, how to get better, less propaganda, less show, and more practice and observation, analyses and control.
