Day-by-Day. April 13, 2017

Blood sugar is 87 mg/dl.
Perfect sugar, either high, neither low, just perfect. The question is how many units I have to inject today, right now? Good question. If I ask my doctor he would say, LOL you do not need insulin, you are not diabetic! Perfect answer for the diabetic who has almost lost its own ability to secret insulin and live on everyday injections 300 units dose daily. Do I control blood sugar? Really what does it mean?
Just a few few weeks ago I was in hospital in ER. My leg still bleeding, and both of them wrapped in decompressing bandage. Today bandage is dry. Just a few days ago it was wetting without stopping. The skin on my left leg gone, melted under water zipped through the skin. If I am lucky, flash would stay and I would not develop gangrene, yet. It is not the case this happiness too far in my future. Then say me, diabetes, what is it? Level of sugar in blood? I do have perfect level of sugar in blood today. So, do I have diabetes or not? Do I need insulin or not? Good question.
Millions of symposiums in very lovely places. So many lectures and discussions, where treatment for us, diabetics type 2? According to Dr. Joslin, treatment is in our own hands. Just stop to eat, and there is no diabetes. With this treatment his mother gone under her son perfect care. Dr. Banting developed perfect cure for us, where is it? In hands of medical care. WHO and ADA developed protocols how to diagnose and how to treat diabetics, so they never run out of patients and income never will be lost. There we are. Walking with wounds wrapped in old t-shirts cut into bandage, wet and leaking, dirty and cold. Hundred years., no any difference in diabetes treatment. We still die in pain and misery.
But there are many 'diabetics' who care for what they eat, and so they never run over 200 mg/dl. They do have home care and medical care. They do have all in full spoon. Of cause, at least someone must be show to public, it is possible to control blood sugar with diet. Yes, why not. Most important to divide the duty. One cut the American pie, and other benefit from consuming it, then closer to the table then more.

It is depression. It is pain. And I am in misery. I do know, there is no way for me to go. I cannot live without insulin. I can lost insulin at any time. I even not able to leave the home. I have to walk to clinic, and I cannot walk to open door in my app. There is nothing for me on this side. Pain and misery, and very very dirty old t-shirts cut into bandage.
