Day-by-Day. May 8, 2017

I developed custom to take insulin shot after every meal I take. So, right now I injected 60 units, even usually I do not take injections at night. Nether do I eat at night. Today is different. I did sleep all day long, even I slept well at night. Simple, I cannot hold my eyes opened. In the morning left eye did not want to be opened. When I took a look at mirror, lead was very watered, and did not want to be kept in open state. The eye was red. Looks like I did have high blood pressure. In contrary, on Friday BP was just perfect. I had clinic, and all was just perfect, BP and sugar, all in good control. Weight was up to 372 lbs. It is not good control, but there is nothing what I can do.
My both legs right now wrapped in bandage. But itching still hurt, and redness go out of control. It is off bandage, and both legs are effected right now. My left eye is in pain, but it is not so severe, I can take it.
So, after sleeping full day I am simple cannot sleep another night, and now I still awaken. This is why I went to kitchen to take some meal. After meal I take insulin shot. I take just one type of insulin, slow release long acting Lantus Solo Star. This type of insulin does not effected by meal, so it can be taken at any time without connection to the meal. I do have my observations. So, I relay on my studies, and I trust in my studies. So, regardless what is in instructions or in any education I take insulin shots according to me needs. I take insulin after every meal.Even small dose, but it must be taken with meal.
I do not know if I am right or I am wrong. I do not pretend to educate anyone. I just post what I am doing, right or wrong, it does not matter. It is only in future I will see if the action was right or wrong. Right now it is not possible to say. Why do I take insulin with every meal? Well, if I need to take insulin shot when sugar is low and it works very well then why do not take shot before meal that insulin is available right away? Of cause I adjust dose to the amount of units I already injected. I keep good track of every injection. Also I do try to keep dose of insulin I inject daily more constant then the dose of every injection. I can take four or five injections, and I can take 3 injection, but the amount of units would be the same.
I also keep track on level of sugar during all day long. If sugar getting above 200 mg/dl I will take small dose of insulin, just to keep sugar in control. Well, for someone 10 units is big dose, for me 60 units is small dose. It is the matter of tolerance.
It is very interesting that many diabetics take less then 10 units of insulin. Do they really diabetics? Do they really need these 10 units of insulin, and they cannot survive without those 10 units? I do not think so. At least when Dr,. Banting and his associate C. Best injected 10 units in arms each other, they tolerated this dose very well, and nether one of them is diabetic. So, is this really so effective to take less then 10 units of insulin, and to be considered as 'insulin dependent diabetic'? Very interesting I would say. At the same time those of us who type 2 diabetic when we take insulin we need more then 200 units to reduce blood sugar down to A1c 7.2%. It is really very difficult to reduce A1c less then 7.2%. When someone pretend that they do have A1c 6.0% and they do control blood sugar with diet and work out, how they are differ from those who are not diabetic at all? Diabetics cannot reduce A1c below 7.2%.
It is just my thinking at late night. I simple cannot watch video because of it is late and every one sleep.
