Metformin Still Cost-effective for Diabetes Prevention, really? September 1, 2017

Metformin plus vitamin B12 supplementation saves between $7 and $42 per patient per year relative to placebo when the drug plus supplementation strategy is used to prevent progression from prediabetes to diabetes, an updated cost analysis of the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study  Metformin Still Cost-effective for Diabetes Prevention by Pam Harrison, August 26, 2017 http://ift.tt/2eMR2Eq

Well, it is money, and it is clear that profit from Metformin dropping. WHat they suposer to do? Of cause, run studies which will indicate how Metformin effective to treat diabetes, ether type of it. But when I read this article and see what studies studied, I do not see any effect on diabetics, but high effect of sale dropping on the profit. I publish link to the studies and be my guest to read the ull article. I found nothing, but info, how much people will pay withing ten years. My goodness! If one develop diabetes type 2 and will tale Metformin and vit B12 then one will gone less then within ten years. So, what is the reason to safe money of the cost of Metformin?

It is also interesting, the cost of 'Diabetes Prevention'. It is very famous fairy tale how Wise Man promised to Shah to teach Donkey to speak within 30 years. "Do you really think donkey can talk?" - Wise Man was asked. "Of cause not, - Wise man answered. But it is 30 years. For this time donkey can die, shah can die, or I am can die. Still, 30 years I will live comfortable in Palace." Man was really very very Wise. Really, what will happen withing ten years after this scam was published? Would Pam Harrison or any one who run studies to support the claim, metformin is effective in diabetes prevention?

Still, it is not the case that it is important how metformin prevent diabetes type 2 with or without vit. B12. Most important, how diabetes will be diagnosed, and how effect of any medicine will be determined. Simple. What is Diabetes? Diabetes is disease of Endocrine System. SO, to diagnose diabetes, or prediabetes, or any type of diabetes it is important to take a look at the health and well being Endocrine System. If with Metformin the condition of Endocrine System getting better, less fibers, no inflammation, no cystitis, then it is healthy tissue, and no any medicine is needed. If there is some problem, even insulin secretion still good, but decline, then the treatment must be applied to treat medical condition, Endocrine System disorder. If Metformin work this out and insulin secretion improved, then we can say, Metformin is effective, So,  it is nice that this medicine is cheap, and we are, diabetics do not need to die because of our condition decline due to absence of insulin secretion and high cost of insulin plus Insulin Resistant Medical Care.

It is not the subject of discussion. It is cost, money, to pull out of victims. Not too much, just $4 every month, so do your math:

"Approximately 86 million patients in the United States have prediabetes, and 0.7% of them receive metformin," study authors under lead author Nicholas Carris, PharmD, University of South Florida, College of Pharmacy, Tampa, observe. "Therefore, increasing the use of metformin with vitamin B12 supplementation in patients with prediabetes represents one opportunity to improve patient care and to reduce healthcare costs nationally," they add.

Add the cost of funeral, the cost of child care for children whose parents die due to diabetes, the soct of amputation, and so so on. Now try to do the math, what really way to  soctly, and how this soct effect our lives.

I am not good in math. I do not count the effect of metformin vs Lantus Solo Star. I simple do know, Metformin kill liver, and Lantus Solo Star saved my live.I still have two legs. I am able to live in my apartment. I am able to care for myself. Why? Because of back to 2011 I injected first 11 units of insulin in my belly, and at the same time I put in trash can all Metformin I still have for that time.  Very Wise choice I had done.
