I already posted that type 1 diabetes is type of diabetes when requirement for insulin is low. This type of diabetes was named before 1980 as low insulin required type of diabetes, insulin dependent type of diabetes.
low daily insulin requirements - blood sugar from 200 mg/dl
to treat this type od diabetes at first one large dose od insulin was given usually 80 units;
total diet given with every sanple of blood;
blood sugar allowed to go up.
studies conducted during 36 hours.
Theses studies persued the duration of action, onset, peak, in blood sugar rising.
If blood sugar still out of normal ranger, another type of insulin was added,
So, not there is combination of ytwo types of insulin, and the blood sugar control. Still, there is no control in blood sugar level.
In studies patient were devided for three groups in respoce to insilin:
Type "B" is normal response to insulin, sugar rising only in reprocess to food.
Type "A" is the early morning respnse to insulin, sugar drops during night time when there is no food, just sleep and fasting.
Type "C" is the type od response to insulin when to keep blood sugar in control there must be three shots of insulin given during the day.
It is difficult to see how this different one type from another. Sorry, I cannot post picture. on picture it is more easy to see.
Type "A" sugar is above 250 mg/dl and during the day and night it drops below 100, about 80 mg/dl.
In type "B" it is 150 highedt blood sugar level during the day, and then 100 mg/dl at night.
Type C" is sugar about 70 mg/dl in the morning and during the day it do up for 350 mg/dl.
All with insulin injection 80 units. So, 80 units is normal dose for one type of diabetes, and too high for another or too low to type "C".
All those test were run in hospital, so diabetic went to home with understanding of type of diabetes one do have, and instructions what to do in case of low sugar. In present time there are no such tests, no hospital admissions if one has sugar above 400 mg/dl. Patient sent home to modify life style. With this type of therapy diabetes stand on number 7 cause of death. Diabetics die because of high / low blood sugar, heart attack when heart cannot move too syrupy blood. or stroke when clot stopped in brine and there is nothing ND can do to safe the life. Actually, they even do not try. They sim[le sent victim to home. At least victim will not spoil good statistic pf hospital. There would be no one trace that victim was in hospital at that time. All ends hide under water.
