Labile or Brittle Diabetes. Fluctuation of Sugar. October 15 2017

How many of us today do know about these types of diabetes such as moderated type of diabetes, severe type of diabetes, or Brittle type of diabetes? I bet not too many if any. I bet even history of those types of diabetes forgotten, and it is looks like there never had been present in medical history of manhood. They used to be.Today all those types diagnosed as one type, Diabetes type 2.    Why it is type 2 diabetes? Because of all what is not type 1 is diabetes type 2. So, if diabetic at the time of diagnose no longer child, or has BMI higher then 1850 standards, or has some other problems with health which make one to have Metabolic Syndrome, then all we are just diabetic type 2. Diabetes type 2 has no meaning, no severity, no stage of development, no treatment needed, just life style modifications, so, every one MD diagnose diabetes as type 2 diabetes.
Back in 1973 there were different stages of diabetes.
For moderately to severe diabetes initial diagnostic and treatment initiation must be carried in hospital setting under closer supervision of MD and frequent blood and urine  testing. Interesting, this was back in 1972. Today there is no such diagnose as severe diabetes type 2. Even with blood sugar 500mg/dl we still treated with demand to change life style. Diabetic whose requirement is more then 300 units of insulin daily never would be admitted in hospital. So, diabetic discharged from ED as so as one got in it. The diagnose? Usually it is low blood sugar. They give IV with glucose, and sent victim back to home to take better care for him/her self. Disgusting! Many of us survive. Those who did not able to walk out of hospital and have no one closer to care, simple die behind the curtains. Hospitals have license to kill, no one investigations needed.
To make things worse, Brittle type of diabetes has fluctuating level of sugar. Level of sugar in blood never constant. It go up very high, and then drop very low.
I posted many times ago that then higher level of sugar on blood then lower it drops with insulin therapy. My level of sugar flied over 400 mg/dl, then shot of insulin, and sugar dropped down to 40 mg/dl, I had to eat to deal with low blood sugar. Sugar ride over 400 mg/dl.  After meal I took another shot of short acting insulin, Novolog, and sugar dropped down to 40 mg/dl. I did not know at that time about brittle diabetes or how sugar fluctuating. I simple tried to stay alive. This was why I stopped to take Novolog. Now I take only Lantus Solo Star, and do not try to connect insulin shots with amount of meal I take. I just try to live as normal as I can.
