There are many definitions of diabetes over the time. Those definitions changed because of our better understanding the condition to which we refer as ‘diabetes’. But regardless of any definitions and how humanity understand diabetes, today millions of diabetics around the globe die just because of they do not have access to insulin, only one type of medicine in modern day which treat all types of diabetes. In some countries insulin is too expensive and family cannot afford to pay for it. In other countries such as America it is greed, medical greed, why 80,000 Americans die every year from chronicle condition which should not be fatal. But we die. Insulin, which is available to be used, is out of treatment regime for 95% of American diabetic population.
We named Diabetics type 2, and we presented that we do have diabetes because of our laziness and high calorie diet. We are Insulin Independent Insulin Resistant Diabetics type 2 to whom insulin requirement is higher then 200 units daily dose. To compare with diabetics type 1 who needs less then 100, and usually after hospital where they were diagnosed with diabetes they return home with as low insulin requirement as from 25 to 10 units daily use.Let us take short look at the definition of diabetes over the time.
Diabetes is a wonderful affection, not very frequent among men, being a melting down of the flesh and limbs into urine. Its cause is of cold and humid nature, as in dropsy. The course is the common one, namely, the kidney and bladder; for the patient never stop making water, but the flow is incessant, as if from the opening of aqueducts. The nature of the disease, then, is chronic, and it takes a long period to form; but the patent is short -lived, if the constitution of the disease be completely established; for the melting id rapid, the death speedy. Why it was so rare condition? Is that true that because of people at that time were not obese? As I do remember from literature in past people suffered from obesity, of cause if they had what to eat. In Noble Class it was common condition. Then why there were no diabetics type 2? Probably the same as today, they simple were not diagnosed that they are diabetics type 2. At that time sugar was not tested in urine, and no blood work was possible. So, people die, and diabetes was very rare. They usually die because of cold or infection, or more often in early childhood.
(Aretasus the Cappadocian, A.D. 81 – 138.)
When we take a look at the history we will see how it was common that women die giving birth. More women die before that, soon after getting pregnant. Today we do know, it is Ovarian cysts syndrome. Treated on time it does not lead to tragedy. After treatment many women got pregnant. In past this condition took lives mother-to-be and baby. Other women lived, but never got pregnant because of this condition.
If one is not dietetic and all what one do know about diabetics that we do eat too much and this is why we are ill then there is nothing to read in my blog, just keep going. One can accept that we did it for ourselves. But pay attention to “a melting down of the flesh and limbs into urine“. Today when we see people without limbs we do know, it is diabetes, it is not the war where those people lost their limbs. Say me, why today it is so difficult to treat edema? Why today our flesh still melting? Why on our limbs wounds open, never heal, and infection take over? Is this really there is nothing can be done to prevent amputation?
I used to work with amputee. Lady lost her leg, and she still develop wounds over and over. Every day nurse come to her twice, changed dressing. As soon as nurse closed the door, all dressing fall apart. Every day I come to her, and there were new wounds on her body. She was diabetic type 2. No insulin. I regret, I never pay attention what was her level of sugar. But her output, urine discharge was very very low. She was obese. She almost eat nothing, very low. She did not want to eat. No diet. She just did bot eat.
Now I am in the same condition as she was years ago. My legs are melting, and I try so hard to keep edema away. Every day my man wrap my legs. We spent $$$ to buy wraps. Every wrap cost not less then $2.5 and I need two of them every time I wrap my legs. If I do not then wounds start to go out of control. Nurse come to my home some time ago. What did she do? Nothing. She already good. Why really she have to do anything? Her payment does not effected by her work. So, she left without changing my dressing. No wrap of cause. In 2017 the same as in A.D. 81 we still have this condition, flesh melting into urine, why?
Probably answer is in definition of the medical condition? It is presented that Diabetes is elevated level of sugar, or metabolic disorder. What if it is not? We all do know, it is pancreas which responsible for insulin secretion. If so then why it is stomach to blame that sugar in blood is too high? If I do have edema then it is my kidney, right? What if it is wrong? What if high edema resulted not by high water consumption but some another problems? At least if it was right then diuretics will work for me. They are useless. In stead to reduce water and weight diuretics increase weight and level of sugar in blood.
Looks like all humanity educated by barbarian witch who is good in using herbs, but it is only scientific discoveries lead to effective medical treatment and cure.
