It is very popular pathetic expression:
I do have diabetes, but diabetes does not have me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So popular, so stupid. Diabetes do have all us, and we have to cope with it every day.
Most popular public view is that with restricted diet diabetes type 2 came reversed. Not possible. No one reversed diabetes type 2 with starvation diet, weight loss surgery, or any food limits. Why? Many people post they had done it. No, they are not.
To see the conflict in this statement it is easy to go and check up the insulin secretion. But it is not the test our MD easy to order. So, when diabetes type 2 was reversed what was the level of insulin secretion? What is the level of insulin secretion today? What was the level of insulin secretion before diabetes type 2 went to reverse? And finally, what is the level of daily insulin secretion for every one of us, diabetics type 1, DT2. or non diabetics? How much energy need our heart to push blood through our bodies? How much energy needs lungs, and all the organs in our bodies? These never was published or studied. At the same time every one sure that with 1800 ccal for women, or 2000 ccal for men, we all will be diabetes-free. Interesting point in this that we all, diabetics type 2 and non diabetics, we all will be diabetes free. Except of cause diabetics type 1. They need insulin in injections.
Today my fasting sugaar is 77 mg/dl. The dose of insulin was 240 units in the morning and 67 units at bed time.
July 28, 29, 30, the fasting level of sugar was about the same.
July 31, 2018 fasting 164 mg/dl. Next day it was 142 mg/dl.
Why this spike? Every MD and every one will ask, what did I ate in these days. My man asked: Did you took bedtime shot? I did not. I forgot it! I simple forgot to take shot before bed.
Now I have to compensate the gap in insulin level. August 01, 2018 I injected 431 units withing 24 hr. I felt a little spell of low sugar but I controlled it with diet: more OJ, milk, chicken,.... .Today sugar is back to normal.
Recently I read studies that researchers try to find universal food which will prevent glucose level spikes. Is this possible? Not at all. Why? If this food work for some day it will not work for long time. we cannot eat the same food day after day, every day. If we try, our body will give us negative response, sugar will spike. In stead to look at the universal food for every one day, why do not create universal bar for diabetics to prevent low sugar dropping? How many diabetics die because of low sugar? Where they die? In hospital, on at home after visit MD. Low sugar do not need to be fatal. It is 100% preventable and controlled. Whey there is no universal bar of food like it is protein bar, to control low blood sugar. We can carry it in our pocket or hand bag. Small bar which does not melt as candy in hot Summer days.
