Researchers have discovered that metformin, a drug commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes, might also be used to treat a common heart failure syndrome that is predicted to affect over 8 percent of people ages 65 or older by the year 2020. The study shows that metformin relaxes a key heart muscle protein called titin, allowing the heart to properly fill with blood before pumping it around the body.

      Very interesting question I do have: What medical condition Metformin cannot treat?  Ask doctor and no one would have the answer. Why? Because of Metformin can treat all medical condition, and cure all and any diseases. May Metformin cure death body? Ask doctors, and they will answer: "Yes, it may."
     Now, every one diabetic type 2 start treatment with Metformin. all pre-diabetics take Metformin to improve level of sugar. Diabetics type 2 are 95% of Diabetic population. The question is, why diabetes is number 7 cause of Death in America and number 4 cause of Death in NYC?  Who are they, those diabetics who die because of high or too low sugar in blood, only the way how diabetes would be in Death Certificate pointed. All those deaths are 100% preventable. Why 80,000 Americans die every year, and it is only to diabetes. The number of diabetics who die to any cause of death is over 200,000.
    Remember, Metformin is number one doctor's choice.

 This book published in 1919. 100 years ago. Insulin was not discovered yet. All medicine physicians could suggest was only diet. Today we are really live in advanced time and medicine is widely available for diabetes treatment. The most important point in all the medicine to address to treat diabetes type 2, it take time to kill victim.This is why diabetes still progressive in present time. Over 130 different names of insulin is available to use. But for diabetics type 2 there is only one in common use, Life style modification and metformin. How effective this treatment? Take a look at mortality table published by CDC. How use your own brain, is this really true that Metformin will prevent heart attack and keep heart able to push blood? Think twice.
     Metformin is toxic. The benefits of this highly commercial drug very doubted. The side effects are severe.
    But anyway, side effects take time to be developed.
