In every study of diabetes what is most popular data to collect and pay attention?
gender: maile vs fimale;
race: block , hispanic, Japanese, whites, so on...;
Income: high income countries, low income countries, middle income cauntries;
income by household: high income family, low income family, middle income family;
age: age of diagnose, age of treatment;
education: some college degree, high school degree, not high school graduates;
bod mass index.
Now say me, how all these data help to control blood sugar level? What really it is said about diabetes and how to treat it? Nothing!!!!!!!!!!! If so then why millions papers published to describe diabetics rather then study what is diabetes and how to treat it? Even today there is no clear definition what is diabetes. It is presented that it is level of sugar in blood rather then that it is abnormal insulin secretion. There are types of diabetes, and yet, there is no one test how to diagnose any type of diabetes.
All treatment options based on:
administration of treatment: injectable vs non injectable;
Iinsulin vs oral agents vs diet;
insulin dependent diabetes mellitus vs non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus; and so on.
No one of this data really important. It is important diabetic takes insulin or oral agent, but every time when medication pointed out there must be dose of medication pointed out at the same time. The dose of insulin such as 10 units is safe to take to any non-diabetic. This dose of insulin will not reduce high blood sugar down to normal A1c level. At the same time dose of 100 units three times daily cannot be taken by every one diabetic.
