NYC is Sanctuary City, Paradise for Dreamers, illegal immigrants and refugee from all over the Globe. They all come to NYC and have medicine, job, SSI, and living. What about us, diabetics type 2? One out of ten Americans is diabetic type 2 usually. There are 95% of us, type 2 diabetics, and all other are type 1, pregnant women, MODY, LADA, and so on. But type 2 diabetics 95 % of al diabetics population. In NYC there are women marches and all other demonstrations to protect immigrants, Dreamers, and so so on. No one demonstration to protect us, Americans with diabetes type 2. Over 80,000 American Diabetics type 2 die every year due to diabetes, diabetes only, high or low blood sugar. Now many diabetics type 2 die due to CVD, stroke, weight loss surgery, Invokana treatment, Asthma, and so so on, no one even bother to count. No one interesting in our well being. Every one count how much we cost to American Society. No one cost now much SSA paid to Dreamers and to those refugee who pull money from America and live comfortable in countries where from they fled. What about us, diabetics type 2?
It is not long ago when insurance company cannot refuse members with per-existing medical conditions. In Obama Era we did not have rights for medical coverage. What did we have? Nothing. In 2014 Medicaid was terminated for me, disable person in critical condition. No medicine, no SSI, no mean of income. My man who is over 60 years old, lost his job. He is Blue Collar worker. No one need old mechanic if there are fresh young mas seeking for job and ready to work for half price. Dreamers. they will work. What we suppose to do? How we suppose to live? When they grow up in America they went to school, Americans paid for. They dad medicine, Americans usually have none. For me 260 units of insulin, life support, was cut at once. Cost of this dose of insulin was $2000. MY man's unemployment check was $1348. Rent, food, bills.
At that time more and more refugee fled to America. NYC paid rent for them, never for us, and they had all, medicaid covered medicine, SSI and food stamps. No penny for us.
Diabetes give no any rights. Even right to get job is not for us. There are a lot of restriction what job we cannot have. There is no one right for us to get job we can do. Really, why need old, ill, worker? No one company. Every company prefer healthy Dreamer.
Once I come to ER in hospital. I had stroke. What did I have in hospital? List what diet I have use. And sent home after midnight. Next room woman was admitted to hospital. She come to visit her son, and she had right for treatment in American Hospital. I was sent home, alone, after midnight, with bleeding in brain.
There are demonstrations and Marches in NYC to protect illegal immigrants and Dreamers. There are no one March to protect Diabetics type 2. According to ADA and all Media, we did it for themselves. We are not ill at all. We just do have wrong life style. Dreamers are better. They chose right style. Good for them. Bad for us. In America Diabetes is number 7 cause of Death. IN NYC Diabetes type 2 is number 4 cause of Death. Sad story, No happy end.
